If the charts we have calculated for you don't match other charts you have had done previously, we can do it for you by hand double checking the info (takes longer), then email it to you, or mail you an attractively bound printout.

Important Notes & Troubleshooting:

  • If your place is found in our database then the Latitude, Longitude, and Time Zone will be automatically entered. You may leave them blank unless the place is not found in our database.
  • Patience please. It normally takes less than 10 seconds to return your chart, but if the mail server is bogged down it can take up to a minute. If you don't get mail in 10 minutes then you have probably entered an incorrect email address, or you are on AOL or a similar service and you have instructed your system to reject email that comes with attachments.
  • A correct email address is only required for your chart to be emailed to you. Please leave blank if you don't want an email copy. Make sure the email address you enter is correct. We get many incorrect email addresses every day.
  • Please don't send a chart to any one else's email address without prior permission.
  • Due to time and manpower constraints we cannot respond to every comment and email about our free chart service. However we do read them and appreciate your input. Thank you :)

Problems with the Place:

  • The coordinates and time zone of your place and time of birth will be looked up in an extensive 250,000 place worldwide atlas. If the place cannot be found it is most likely due to incorrect spelling, or some other mistaken entry. If the place cannot be found you will be prompted for more information.
  • Don't enter any province, county, or state names for countries outside of the USA. Just enter: place, country
  • USSR, Yugoslavia, and other former communist country names will not be found. Please use the most current country names.
  • If there are multiple towns in your country or US state that have the same name, we suggest you substitute a different town nearby which has a unique name. Otherwise the web page will choose whichever town is found first in its database. This free web page is currently limited in that area, although our Windows software has no such limitations.

Problems with the Time or Date:

  • Please enter Month first. Example: Month/Date/Year (12/31/2000)
  • The correct time is important for determining your houses, rising sign, and exact moon position. Please try to be as accurate as possible. If you don't know the time, the Rising Sign and possibly Moon sign might be inaccurate. Any planets at the border of a sign (cuspal) may also be inaccurate.
  • Please enter the legal time of day at the time of birth. Our database has a record of all time zones throughout history, including daylight time, war time, etc. These time zones will be compensated for automatically.

Other FAQ's:

  • "My rising sign is different than I expected, how come?" Our software uses the most accurate data available anywhere for places and changes in time zones throughout history. The rising sign changes every two hours. Your time must be accurate to get the proper rising sign. In many cases people are given incorrect rising signs when the astrologer or software program calculates the time zone incorrectly. There are many loopholes in the time zone laws, which were not even standardized until 1966. Our programmers have been dealing with this issue for 20+ years. Provided you have entered your location and date and time correctly and your town was found in our database then you can trust this astro chart as being accurate.
  • "Does the degrees mean that I have these characteristics more than others?" The degrees listed on the printout are just the position in the sky where the planet is in degrees of longitude. Generally the interpretations are in order of importance, with the Sun, Moon, and Rising Sign being the most important and 'personal' and Pluto being least important. But each planet has its own area of your life that it rules.
  • "What is this attachment on the email I received, how do I view it?" The attachment is a normal .gif graphic file of your astrology chart. It can be opened by any graphic program or web browser program. In most email programs you should merely have to double click on the icon for the attachment to view it.
  • "The houses on this chart are not the same as another chart from elsewhere, why?" House cusps are not listed or interpreted in the text of this free report. If you would like more detailed information about your houses, see our paid reports at http://alabe.com/chartservice. The lines for the house cusps are however printed on the chart wheel graphic included with your report. There are many different methods of calculating these house cusps. No method is more 'correct' than the other methods, and the results vary slightly from one method to another. Particularly the 2,3,5,6,8,9,11&12th house cusps. This chart program uses the Placidus method of calculating houses.
