Solar Fire 5.1.2 Fix for Windows 98/ME/95
DO NOT use on Windows XP, NT, or 2000, or with Solar Fire version 5.0.x
This file is not an update of Solar Fire, but a fix for an internet problem with the Microsoft Windows system files. If you are not experiencing any problems with your internet connection or with downloading from the Windows Update web site, then this fix is not recommended. This is a problem that occurs after installing Solar Fire 5.1.2 on a Windows 98 or earlier machine which already has the Blaster Virus Fixes installed from the Windows Update Web Site. This fix is only needed if your Astrolabe CD says version 300D on the label. Version 300E shipping as of 9/11/2003 has this fix already installed. Windows XP, NT, or 2000 are not affected and have no problems with Solar Fire 5.1.2
Note: If you are unable to click on this link, then right click on it and select 'Copy Shortcut.' Then click on the Address entry input box on the top of your web browser and select Control-V to Paste the address. Alternately you can use Mozilla or Netscape which are not affected by this MS Bug to download this Fix.
This file that you are about to download is a self-extracting and self installing archive. NOTE: Make sure Solar fire (and all other astrology programs) are closed before installing this update, or you will encounter problems with installation.
This updated atlas will change and update some international country designations. Depending on the astro sofware and version that you are using with the atlas you may have to use the latest country designations and not the old country names. For instance, 'USSR' or 'Yugoslavia' may not work, in that case try 'Russia' or 'Serbia'. Instead of 'England' you may have to enter 'UK', Etc. You may have to use the newly adopted town names for places in India, etc.
